Why are landlords first?
The platform exists because Section 8 landlords needed HAP tracking and pre-inspection support that didn't live in spreadsheets. Tenant tools build on top of what landlords already have running — so the lease, payments, and maintenance data is already there when you join.
Do I need my landlord to use RentsPaid?
Likely yes. The tools work best when both sides are on the platform — your landlord sees your maintenance request, you see the HAP status, paperwork moves both ways.
